Bose® redefines the acclaimed Modeler® and Auditioner® Technologies
Imagine a multi-million stadium being constructed, would you finalize the construction deal before seeing the blueprint or a model of the project underway? Guess not! How about the audio system? Everyday construction managers make large investments in sound systems without knowing how it will sound like until once installed.
Bose has eliminated that risk. The Auditioner® system, developed after a decade of research, allows builders, architects and facility managers to hear precisely what a Bose system will sound from any part of the proposed facility. The Bose® Modeler® Design Program allows designers to create a three-dimensional representation of their business or property. With this technology, sound designers and consultants can carefully create an acoustical model of the building, help ensure that the design reduces unwanted echoes and excessive reverberation, and increased speech intelligibility.
With Modeler® sound system software, loudspeakers can be visually placed in an acoustically accurate room model of any size or shape. It takes into account the acoustical properties of the surface materials, and how to aim the loudspeakers. The design helps ensures that you spend money only for the equipment you need. With the introduction of the Modeler® 6.0 sound system software and Auditioner® III Playback System; these challenges will be tackled even more effectively.
The new Modeler® 6.0 software-featuring innovative Bose technology-makes it easier to design a superior sound system for almost any space. This software stimulates and analyzes acoustical information with a calculation engine known as D2RASTiC. (See figure below)
This latest technology can calculate field coverage, reverberation effects, sound arrivals and speech intelligibility, thus improving the sound system, as the acoustic data is automatically calculated.
Modeler® 6.0 software includes other tools to help visualize a new sound system, for instance, the Camera View which is enables the designer to see how the system will look inside a facility.
The new Auditioner® III Playback System is a step forward in design for the Professional Systems Division. The sleek design and all-digital connection combine with other features to make it easier to set up and use. This system allows listeners to hear how a proposed design solution will sound from multiple locations in a facility before the its installed.
