Editor's Note
Greetings, readers! Happy New Year and welcome to our first issue for 2008. We start every New Year fresh, full of hope and anticipation, and as Edith Lovejoy Pierce rightly said, "We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day." In 2008, SoundCheck hopes to provide you with more information, featured product demonstrations, handy tips and success stories from the Middle East and African region.
According to an article published in the BusinessWeek magazine, Bose is ranked as the most trusted consumer brand by far among 22 well-known tech companies, ahead of heavyweights like Apple (AAPL), Microsoft (MSFT), Dell (DELL), Intel (INTC), and Sony (SNE), according to a recent survey of 4,732 U.S. households by Forrester Research.
Bose has definitely come a long way. In the late 1980s, Bose salespeople went door to door to demonstrate the company's speakers, promoting what the Company promised was rich sound without the bulkiness of other systems. "You had to hear it to believe it," says Bose President Bob Maresca. A lot of people heard -- and believed, according to extrapolations made by Forrester. An estimated 17.5 million households plan to buy Bose products, compared with 7 million expecting to buy from Apple, Forrester says.
SoundCheck is waiting for your comments, ideas and any installations taking part in your region. Keep them coming at sound_check@bose.ae.
Looking forward to hearing from you all!
