Bose® ControlSpace™ Product Training for the MEA Region

Participants of U.A.E. region during a training session

As part of the ongoing commitment towards evolving teams engineered for better sound, Bose MEA PSD team has created an aggressive training program. The focus of the first segment of this training was the application, design and hands-on bench work experience of the Bose ControlSpace™ family of products. Customized and tailored training modules were compiled and delivered on site by Asad Lalani, Manager Trainings and Design Services, Bose MEA, to the field engineers of the MEA region. Training sessions so far have been conducted in countries including Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain. Oman is next during the month of April.

Participants from the Qatar Region

Unlike the other training module, the ControlSpace application and hands-on bench work was 101% DIY (Do It Yourself). Students were given the tasks to physically connect components, establish network, test and evaluate various signal processing tools offered by the ControlSpace™ ESP-88. During the training session, students were also given real life problems to work at and on-going projects within their region to solve using the ControlSpace products.

Training session in Saudi Arabia

The benefit of this type of training methodology resulted in total involvement and commitment from the students, showing full enthusiasm and complete engagement in understanding and utilizing the unique features of the Bose® ControlSpace™ system for their project’s signal processing requirements.

Editor’s Note

On television recently a documentary on one of the Bose Corporation’s truly amazing breakthroughs, the Electromagnetic Auto Suspension system was shown. The 24-year-long secret project has developed a revolutionary auto suspension system that offers a magic carpet ride, thanks to some dense mathematical research and use of electromagnetism. The Automobile Magazine, after witnessing this phenomenon referred to it as the “first mega-breakthrough in car suspensions since the gas-pressurized shock”. Bose Corporation truly reminds us that we could all afford to be much more skyward-looking, far-fetched and curious, and that we could all believe more strongly in our own potential to create.

In this month’s SoundCheck you will find a new segment entitled, “The picture of the month”. Once in a while we do come across images that truly captivate us, like the one you will see in this issue. If you have any such fascinating image, that made your head turn, do share with the rest of us.

Look out for the next issue of SoundCheck. It will focus on an important section of our “installed sound” business, the hotel industry.

Happy Reading!
